Tasmanian man wins $2 million lottery prize on Father’s Day

A Tasmanian man has won a $2 million Father’s Day payoff after playing the same numbers for decades.

The player from Hobart said he was enjoying a quiet say at home on Sunday when he received the life-changing call from The Lott.

“This is unreal! I’ll have to try and calm down a bit,” he told The Lott.

The man plans to spend his winnings on his children.

“I’ll help my children first, and then after that, I don’t really know. Maybe some holidays around Australia,” he said.

Sorrel Lucky Agency manager Debbie O’Shea, whose staff member sold the winning entry, said she was celebrating.

To think we had made someone a multi-millionaire overnight.”

The winning numbers in the TattsLotto draw were 10, 18, 39, 3, 21 and 6, while the supplementary numbers were 41 and 43.
