On Tuesday, Starbucks opened its largest intelligent coffee production and logistics base in China, with a total investment of RMB 1.5 billion ($220 million), underscoring the Seattle-based coffee brand’s growing commitment to its second-largest market. The newly completed manufacturing site, situated near Shanghai in Kunshan city, is slated to serve as Starbucks’ national production and distribution hub in China, as stated by the company.
