(ECNS) — Leonz Eder, president of the International University Sports Federation, visited Chengdu and toured the Chengdu Universiade Museum on Wednesday, according to a report from Red Star News.

This was Eder’s third visit to the museum, and each time, he said, brought a unique experience. 

The Chengdu Universiade has left a deep impression on him, he noted, adding that he has always wanted to see the museum’s brilliant record of this event, which showcases Chengdu’s friendship and hospitality. He pointed out that the legacy of the Chengdu Universiade belongs not only to Chengdu but to the whole world. 

Eder emphasized Chengdu’s growing importance in the fields of culture, education, politics, and science, noting that this growth shows no signs of slowing.

He said the Chengdu Universiade and its museum bridge the past and the future, with exhibitions that are constantly updated to reflect the city’s evolving development.

The Chengdu Universiade Museum is the first-ever institution dedicated to the Universiade to open to the public before the commencement of the games. 

Regarding the museum’s future, Eder expressed his commitment to promoting its transformation into a World Universiade Museum, expanding its global influence and appeal.
