Themed architectural exhibition ‘Tracé Bleu’ kicks off in Shanghai

(ECNS) — A themed exhibition “Tracé Bleu” (blueprint in English) kicked off in Shanghai on Sept. 10, inviting the public to reflect on contemporary architectural practices and explore new ways of living on the Earth.

Proposed by Architecturestudio, the new concept and strategy focuses on a new vision for the future and advocates for ecosystem protection, coexisting with nature, regenerating wastelands, investing in public resources, and restrained construction.

To advance the ideas of Tracé Bleu, Architecturestudio has collaborated with Centquarter-Paris around three key themes: Re.source, Re.generate, and Re.act.

It combines concrete achievements with artistic experiences, showcasing the studio’s global records and documentation of urban and architectural design projects, while inviting artists to explore the themes.

Visitors are encouraged to view their surroundings from different perspectives and consider them as a vast reservoir of creative potential rather than merely resources.

“We have the chance to meet another kind of audience, which is more academic with teachers, and students, and that creates another type of dialogue and exchange on common issues,” said AS partner Rene-Henri Arnaud to China News Network during an interview.

The exhibition in Shanghai, which will run until Oct. 13, is the third stop of an international tour. Following Venice, Paris, and Shanghai, the next stop will be held in Côte d’Ivoire, before finally returning to Switzerland.

Since its founding in 1973, Architecturestudio has been an international reference in architecture and urban planning. It has been dedicated to addressing architectural challenges amidst significant environmental, economic, and social changes. This year also marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment its China office.
