1.World snooker number one Judd Trump has become a Hong Kong resident through the Quality Migrant Admission Scheme, according to the Immigration Department of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on Tuesday. Trump arrived in Hong Kong on Monday to collect his Hong Kong identity card.

2.China unveiled its largest and most advanced amphibious assault ship on Friday in Shanghai, naming it after the southwestern province of Sichuan. With a hull code of 51, the CNS Sichuan is the first in the Type 076 class.
The ship is capable of displacing more than 40,000 metric tons of water and carrying fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters and amphibious landing craft. It has a two-island superstructure configuration, a full-length flight deck and an electromagnetic launch system, or electromagnetic catapult, which will be used to launch fixed-wing aircraft.

3.Phase I of Huaneng Nagu Photovoltaic Power Station, the world’s highest-altitude solar power project, started operation in southwest China’s Yunnan Province on Tuesday. Upon completion, it will generate an annual average of 158 million kilowatt hours of electricity, sufficient to meet the yearly power needs of approximately 52,000 households.

4.Tansuo 3, or Exploration 3, China’s self-developed deep-sea multifunctional research vessel was commissioned at Nansha Port in Guangzhou, south China’s Guangdong Province, on Thursday. Equipped with world-class scientific equipment, the ship has a bidirectional icebreaking capability that enables it to operate in polar regions in the summer.

5.Flight number PN6425 operated by West Air departed from Lhasa Gonggar International Airport in Xizang Autonomous Region on Wednesday for Singapore’s Changi Airport, marking the opening of a new China-Singapore route.

7.The world’s largest ice-and-snow theme park, the 26th edition of the Harbin Ice-Snow World, officially opened on Saturday. With an overall planned area of 1 million square meters, the park was built using 300,000 cubic meters of ice and snow making it the largest in its 26-year history.

8.The restored statues of a pair of fossil human skulls of the “Yunxian Man”, dating back to one million years ago, were unveiled by the Hubei Provincial Museum in Wuhan, central China’s Hubei Province, on Thursday.
The “Yunxian Man” fossil human skulls are the most complete ones found in Eurasia for the same era, providing key evidence for the study of the evolution of Homo erectus in East Asia.

9.The number of 5G mobile subscribers in China exceeded one billion by the end of November, according to China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on Monday. China plans to build 4.5 million 5G base stations and develop more future industries in 2025, said the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology at its working conference on Friday.
