Villagers in east China’s Anhui Province lit up fish-shaped lanterns on Thursday evening to celebrate the New Year.　

Fish-shaped lanterns parades were held in a mountain village in Huangshan, Anhui Province, attracting throngs of visitors. Locals paraded with fish-shaped lanterns to pray for harvest and good fortune.　

Fish-shaped lanterns in Wangmantian village, Xitou township, Shexian county, Huangshan city of Anhui, boast a history of over 600 years and are a provincial-level intangible cultural heritage (ICH).
