The Mumbai Police deployed several techniques, including face recognition technology, to identify and arrest a 30-year-old Bangladeshi national for allegedly stabbing actor Saif Ali Khan in his Bandra home during a burglary attempt.

The police teams scanned several CCTV from across the city and during the exercise, a footage of January 9 of Bandra railway station showed the accused, Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, getting down from a bike. The police teams noted the bike’s registration number and then zeroed in on Shehzad using the facial recognition technology, sources said.
