Two people have been killed, while another person has been hospitalised after a gas leak at a battery recycling plant in the Sikandrabad area of Ghaziabad district in Uttar Pradesh.

The incident happened during a trial run before the official inauguration of BATX Energies in the industrial area of Sikandrabad Kotwali. The deceased have been identified as Ankush from Moradabad and Satendra from Gulawati.

Meanwhile, senior police officials have rushed to the spot and the workers are being rescued from the site.
