Kothapalli waterfall at Chintapalli opens to public after renovation

After renovation, the Kothapalli waterfall in Chintapalli mandal of Alluri Sitarama Raju district was opened to the public on Monday, ahead of the Araku Utsav, ‘Chali,’ scheduled to begin on January 31.

V. Abhishek, the Project Officer of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) Paderu, inaugurated the park near the waterfall, which received a facelift at a cost of ₹1 crore. He also purchased the first ticket after the reopening and inspected the new amenities available at the tourist spot.

The ITDA informed that the renovation includes establishing a new entrance arch arena with a ticket counter, a pathway, a new viewpoint, toilets, dress changing rooms, and a parking facility. The garden was also renovated, and the entire pathway was tiled. Colourful illumination, electrification, painting, and landscaping work were also done as part of the renovation.
