Soon after her death, Sajeer attempted to commit suicide by slitting his wrist. Later, he was rushed to a medical college in Manjeri and is reportedly out of danger now. Police have registered a case of unnatural death and launched an investigation.
Shaima’s tragic death comes just days after another suicide case in Malappuram. Police have charged him with abetment to suicide and cruelty toward women by their husbands or relatives.
Boy Dies By Suicide In Kerala
In a separate incident, days after a 15-year-old boy died by suicide at his home in Kochi, his mother filed a complaint on January 31, with the police, accusing ragging and bullying as the driving forces behind her son’s extreme decision.
The mother, Rajna PM, has also sought a fair investigation into the matter, submitting petitions to the Director General of Police (DGP) and the Chief Minister’s Office, as well as approaching the Child Welfare Commission for a probe into the alleged harassment by the Vice Principal of the school.
Mihir Ahmed, a student at Global Public School in Thiruvaniyoor, Ernakulam, took his own life by jumping from the 26th floor of their residence on January 15. His mother described Mihir as a cheerful and active child, and she was left struggling to understand why he had taken such a drastic step.
To uncover the truth, she spoke to his friends and schoolmates and went through his social media messages, discovering troubling evidence of severe abuse.
