
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has refuted the claims of opposition party who earlier said that the AAP’s goverment in the bordering state is in trouble after the poll debacle in recently concluded Delhi assembly elections.
Addressing the media after holding a meet with AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal at Kapoorthala House in the national capital, Mann said, “Our party is known for its work. Our government in Punjab is working in the interest of the people. We will make Punjab a model state. Our government in Punjab will do such work that it will be a model for the country.”
On Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa’s claim that 30 MLAs of the state’s ruling party were in touch with him, Mann said, “Switching sides is Congress’ culture; they talk about others but do not worry about themselves.”

Bhagwant Mann further said, “No one can tempt our workers. Our party does not do the work of religion, distributing money and hooliganism.
Regarding the Delhi polls, he said that all party MLAs of Punjab were in Delhi to meet Kejriwal. He said that Kejriwal thanked the MLAs for actively campaigning in favour of the party and winning-losing is part of the electoral politics.

In the recently concluded Delhi elections, BJP won 48 seats in the 70-member assembly, while AAP was reduced to 22 seats. Congress was unable to open its account.
