Chatting with reporters outdoors Parliament, Mr. Majumdar stated that the claims of any differential remedy to Tamil Nadu have been false. “They [the Tamil Nadu government] are doing this solely as a result of elections are nearing within the State. The claims of differential remedy to Tamil Nadu are false. We’re advocating for instructing and studying in mom tongue for college students until Class V. In Tamil Nadu, the mom tongue is Tamil; the place is the issue then?” Mr. Majumdar advised PTI.
Taking a jibe on the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.Ok. Stalin-led authorities, he stated they have been making an attempt to “create a political agenda” by refusing to implement NEP 2020 and the three-language formulation.

Lok Sabha proceedings have been adjourned for about half-hour after DMK members condemned Union Training Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s remarks that the Tamil Nadu authorities was being “dishonest” on the problem of implementation of the PM Faculties for Rising India (PM SHRI) scheme.
Mr. Pradhan had stated that the State authorities had modified its stand on implementing the scheme that envisaged the strengthening of the faculties managed by the Centre, State, or native our bodies.
The State involved has to signal a Memorandum of Understanding with the Centre that it will implement NEP 2020 and, accordingly, the Centre would offer the funds.
