The Amravati airport has obtained aerodrome licence from the Directorate Normal of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and Alliance Air will function flights from the power to Mumbai by the top of the month, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated on Thursday.
Amravati Airport, situated in Belora, was initially developed by the Public Works Division in 1992 however remained non-operational for public use. The state-run Maharashtra Airport Growth Firm (MADC) revamped the airport with an prolonged runway and different upgrades to fulfill licensing necessities.

“Alliance Air is about to begin flights on the Amravati-Mumbai-Amravati route by the top of this month, marking the airport’s first scheduled operations,” he stated.
The DGCA certification was symbolically handed over by MADC managing director Swati Pandey to the CM through the day.
