
TikTok Store is increasing its European footprint, with launches deliberate in Germany, France, and Italy on Monday. The strikes come because the platform faces potential restrictions within the US until its Chinese language mum or dad firm, ByteDance, finds an American purchaser. Already accessible within the UK since 2021, TikTok Store entered the US market in September 2023 and noticed robust vacation gross sales. In Europe, the platform has been working to onboard extra native retailers, shifting away from its heavy reliance on China-based sellers. “In France, Germany, and Italy, we’re already working with retailers to get their merchandise listed on the platform, and TikTok Store might be accessible to our TikTok customers from subsequent Monday,” Jan Wilk, head of operations at TikTok Store UK, instructed Reuters.
