
The incident pertains to December 2021 when Vinod Kumar N., a Motor Automobile inspector on the Enforcement RTO Workplace, inspected the tipper lorry at Kolenchery and found that the 25-tonne-capacity lorry was carrying a load of 34 tonnes. The driving force and proprietor refused to pay a high-quality of ₹23,500 that the Motor Autos division imposed on them, following which a case was filed within the courtroom.
The courtroom imposed the high-quality on the duo after listening to 5 witnesses. They included officers of the MVD and the Authorized Metrology division.
