Union Dwelling Minister Amit Shah on Sunday hailed the give up of fifty Naxalites in Chhattisgarh and stated those that lay down weapons and undertake the trail of growth shall be rehabilitated.

Fifty Naxalites, together with 14 with a cumulative reward of Rs 68 lakh on their heads, surrendered in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district on Sunday.

Of the 50 who surrendered, six carried rewards of Rs 8 lakh every, whereas three had bounties of Rs 5 lakh every. 5 others had rewards of Rs 1 lakh every on their heads, police stated.

The District Reserve Guard (DRG), Bastar Fighters, Particular Activity Pressure (STF), CRPF and its elite unit CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Motion) performed a key function of their give up, police stated.
