Washington: Former US President Donald Trump on Sunday warned of attainable navy motion and financial sanctions towards Iran if it doesn’t conform to a nuclear cope with Washington. 

“If they do not make a deal, there can be bombing,” Reuters quoted Trump as saying in a telephonic interview with NBC Information on Sunday. Trump additional mentioned, “there’s an opportunity that if they do not make a deal, that I’ll do secondary tariffs on them like I did 4 years in the past.” 

Trump’s assertion comes on a day Iran firmly rejected direct negotiations with the US over its nuclear program. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, in an official response to Trump’s letter, reiterated Tehran’s stance towards direct talks whereas preserving the door open for oblique negotiations. 

“Though the potential for direct negotiations between the 2 sides has been rejected on this response, it has been emphasised that the trail for oblique negotiations stays open,” Pezeshkian mentioned, in accordance with AP.
