
NEW DELHI: Over 260 passengers of a Virgin Atlantic flight from London to Mumbai have been stranded at Turkiye’s Diyarbakır airport for the previous 24 hours, after the plane was diverted on Wednesday owing to a medical emergency, and subsequently confronted a technical glitch.
“VS358 flight from Heathrow to Mumbai on April 2 was cancelled after to an pressing medical diversion to Diyarbakır, adopted by technical inspections of plane,” a Virgin Atlantic spokesman stated.
Stranded flyers alleged the airline failed to rearrange primary amenities. “After touchdown, we remained on board for 5 hours. Then, we had been requested to alight because the airline wanted to repair a technical subject,” Sagar Kochhar, a passenger, advised TOI over cellphone from Turkiye. He alleged that Virgin neither made any preparations for passengers, nor was offering any data on after they would have the ability to depart for Mumbai.
The airline stated it was making all efforts to make sure passengers are flown to their vacation spot on the earliest.
