Hyderabad: BJP vice-president and Mahbubnagar MP D.Ok. Aruna urged Hindus to rise above caste and political divisions to protect dharma, stating that caste was a assemble of political agendas. Talking after unveiling a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji at Rampur in Koilkonda mandal —claimed to be the tallest Shivaji statue in Mahbubnagar district — the MP mentioned the Maratha warrior instilled a spirit of resistance and launched guerilla warfare to the nation.

“Had Shivaji not stood up in opposition to anti-Hindu forces, Hindus might not have survived in southern India.
