A tree fell in heavy wind on Infantry Highway in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

Gusty winds uprooted a tree on Infantry Highway on Wednesday night injuring a person passing by.

The tree was absolutely uprooted by the wind and fell onto the pavement. The person sustained accidents to his shoulder and was rushed to Bowring Hospital, the officers stated.

Visitors motion was affected briefly. The branches have been minimize and later faraway from the highway and pavement.

In line with sources, regardless of a number of complaints, the BBMP had not taken motion to prune or minimize down growing older bushes. A number of branches alongside Infantry Highway stay precarious, posing a risk to commuters and pedestrians, shopkeepers on the highway complained.

The BBMP Management Room reported three incidents of tree falls and 4 incidents of falling branches throughout town. Flooding was reported on few roads in Bellandur.
