New Delhi: The home air passenger site visitors for March has been estimated at 148.8 lakh, larger by 11.3 per cent on an annual foundation and 5.9 per cent larger than 140.4 lakh in February 2025, a report mentioned on Thursday.

For FY25 (April 2024-March 2025), the home air passenger site visitors was 1,657.1 lakh, a YoY progress of seven.8 per cent and 17.1 per cent larger than the pre-Covid stage of 1,415.6 lakh in FY20, in response to a report by credit standing company ICRA.

The outlook for the Indian aviation trade stays secure, pushed by expectations of average progress in home air passenger site visitors and a comparatively secure value surroundings in FY26, it added.

Within the 11 months of FY25, the worldwide passenger site visitors for Indian carriers stood at 309.5 lakh with a YoY progress of 14.6 per cent — larger than the pre-Covid stage of 218.1 lakh by 41.9 per cent.

In line with the report, the airways’ capability deployment in March 2025 was larger than March 2024 by 8.5 per cent and 10.7 per cent over February 2025.

This was in step with ICRA’s estimates of 7-10 per cent YoY progress for FY25. It’s estimated that the home aviation trade operated at a passenger load issue (PLF) of 88.2 per cent in March 2025, in opposition to 86.0 per cent in March 2024, and 87.0 per cent for FY25 — in opposition to 88.0 per cent in FY24.
