Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah criticised Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s remarks, stating that Pakistan first denied the incident after which shifted the blame onto India. Calling the assault ‘unlucky’, Abdullah added that he doesn’t want to give a lot significance to statements coming from Islamabad.

“To begin with, they didn’t even recognise that one thing had occurred in Pahalgam. First, they stated that India was behind it,” the J-Ok CM advised ANI.

He additional added, “For the individuals who made allegations towards us within the first place, it’s troublesome to say something about it now. I do not need to give a lot significance to their statements. No matter occurred is unlucky, and it mustn’t have occurred…”

Pak PM Shehbaz Sharif’s Response

Earlier, on Friday Shehbaz Sharif confirmed Islamabad’s curiosity in becoming a member of a “impartial, clear, and credible investigation” into the current terrorist assault in Pahalgam which resulted within the lack of 26 individuals.

He made a press release after India strongly retaliated by suspending the Indus Waters Treaty and shutting down the Attari Built-in Examine Publish.

Whereas addressing a army academy in Abbottabad, Sharif said, “Pakistan is open to taking part in any impartial, clear, and credible investigation.” 

Whereas inviting an investigation, Sharif concurrently reaffirmed Pakistan’s army readiness, stating, “Our forces are totally succesful and ready to defend the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as demonstrated by our agency response to India’s reckless incursion in February 2019.”
