As rains lashed Chennai on Sunday (Could 4, 2025) night, a couple of flights have been diverted from the Chennai airport to the Tiruchi and Bengaluru airports. Owing to the downpour, among the flights that have been scheduled for arrival at the moment couldn’t land on the metropolis airport, sources mentioned. 

Three flights from Madurai, Tiruchi, and Singapore needed to be diverted. The flight from Madurai departed round 2:30 p.m. and was presupposed to arrive in Chennai at 3:55 p.m. It was, nonetheless, was diverted to Tiruchi. The flight from Tiruchi that left round 2:55 p.m. and was presupposed to land at 3:55 p.m. was diverted again to the Tiruchi airport.

The flight from Singapore, which was to land at 3:55 p.m., was diverted to the Bengaluru airport. No flights have been cancelled because of the rain, the sources added.
