‘Whole Reset’: Trump Says ‘Nice Progress Made’ On Commerce Talks Between US, China


US President Donald Trump stated on Sunday that there was “nice progress made” on commerce talks between the US and China, amid a potential thaw within the commerce warfare sparked by his large tariffs. 

“An excellent assembly as we speak with China, in Switzerland. Many issues mentioned, a lot agreed to. A complete reset negotiated in a pleasant, however constructive, method,” Trump posted on Fact Social. 

“We need to see, for the great of each China and the U.S., a gap up of China to American enterprise. GREAT PROGRESS MADE!!!” he added. 

Trump commented for the primary time after a day of talks in Geneva between US officers, together with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and US Commerce Consultant Jamieson Greer, and Chinese language officers. 

In response to a CNN report, quoting sources, the talks will proceed on Sunday. 

Earlier this week, Bessent appealed to the general public to not count on a significant commerce deal out of the conferences. However he acknowledged that it was a significant step in negotiations.
