The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday (June 21, 2025) performed searches in Bihar and Jharkhand in a case registered towards the then Extra Commissioner, Customs, Patna, and 29 others over bogus GST claims by way of pretend export payments of almost ₹100 crore.

In a press assertion, the company stated searches have been performed at seven locations in Bihar and Jharkhand, together with Patna, Purnia, Jamshedpur, Nalanda and Munger. The searches led to the restoration of seven gold bars, every weighing 100 gram, incriminating paperwork and cellphones. It’s alleged within the FIR that senior officers of the Customs division, together with then Extra Commissioner and 4 Superintendents, entered right into a felony conspiracy with the accused.
