International ministers of the Quad group, together with these from Australia, India, and Japan, met in Washington on Wednesday and condemned the terrorist assault in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam on April 22, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians.

In a launched assertion, the Quad joint assertion strongly condemned all acts of terrorism and violence in all their kinds and manifestations, together with cross-border terrorism.

“We condemn within the strongest phrases the terrorist assault in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, 2025, which claimed the lives of 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen, whereas injuring a number of others,” the launched assertion.

The overseas ministers of the Quad group expressed their deepest condolences to the households of the victims and prolonged their heartfelt needs for a swift and full restoration to all these injured.

 India’s Exterior Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Japan’s Minister of International Affairs Takeshi Iwaya, and Australian International Minister Penny Wong attended the Quad International Ministers’ Assembly on the US Division of State on Tuesday.
