The Maradu police have arrested seven individuals in reference to the alleged theft at a metal buying and selling agency at Kundannur.

The police recovered ₹20 lakh of the ₹81 lakh allegedly stolen from the store owned by Subin Joseph of Thoppumpady, from a automobile belonging to an confederate of the accused in Thrissur.

The arrested are M.S. Saji, 43, of Vaduthala, Nikhil Narendranath, 43, of SRM Street, Kochi, Asif Iqbal, 43, of Cheranalloor, Bushara, 47, of Palluruthy, P.V. Vishnu, 30, Nihas, 26, and Arjun, 32, all three from Nattika in Thrissur.

“5 of them had been arrested and remanded on Thursday and the remaining two on Friday. The accused had been produced in court docket and had been remanded,” the police mentioned.
