IWATE, Nov 09 (News On Japan) –
A magnitude 6.7 earthquake struck off the Sanriku coast at round 5:03 p.m. on November ninth, prompting the Japan Meteorological Company to subject a tsunami advisory for Iwate Prefecture at 5:12 p.m. Authorities warned that tsunami waves might have already reached coastal areas.
Residents and people close to the ocean had been urged to maneuver away from the coast and keep away from getting into the water, as situations within the ocean and alongside the shoreline stay extraordinarily harmful.
