Assam Congress chief Gaurav Gogoi right now dismissed Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s allegations linking him and his spouse to Pakistan as a “wild concept current in his head”, and mentioned such claims expose the CM’s “weak point” and the extent he can go to over a matter as severe as nationwide safety.

In an interview with PTI, the Jorhat MP mentioned there’s a clear distinction between assaults made by Sarma and allegations levelled by the Congress in opposition to the chief minister.

“There’s a distinction between what Sarma is saying and what I’m saying in opposition to him — his is a ‘wild concept’ which exists solely in his head, and it pertains to one thing very severe as nationwide safety,” Mr. Gogoi mentioned.

“What we’re saying about his household, his wealth, corruption, and the profit that the federal government equipment is giving to his spouse’s firm — that’s for everyone to see,” he claimed.
