The German has entered the final 18 months of his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu, butreport that club president Florentino Perez has ‘no plans’ to enter into talks yet.

Santos is said to be a ‘strong holder’ for KV Oostende, who have endured a disappointing season in the Belgian Juplier Pro League.
The 22-year-old was only signed from AS Nancy in the summer, but there are already fears that he could leave Oostende.
He has featured in every game so far this campaign for Oostende in central midfield, attacking midfield and on the wings.
Liverpool are said to be ‘impressed’ by Santos, with Oostende valuing him at around the £8m mark.
Klopp issues Salah update
Reds boss Klopp has issued an encouraging update about the progression of contract talks with Mohamed Salah.
Salah revealed earlier this week that the discussions are now in Liverpool’s hands, though Klopp is hopeful an agreement can be reached.
“Mo wants to stay, we want Mo to stay. That’s the point where we are and that these things take time, I cannot change. Sorry. But I think it’s all in a good place. Nothing else to say,” he said.
“I’m very positive about it but I don’t think it makes sense that you speak on behalf of the fans because I’m pretty sure the fans are not as nervous as you are.
“I think there are enough reasons for being positive but as long as it is not done we cannot say anything about it. But, good conversations – that’s what I can say.
“Nobody has to worry, it’s just the situation we are in. Really, all fine. It’s not done, that’s why we didn’t get this news, but we are in talks. Of course we want to keep him.”
