The Miami Heat have ruled out point guard Kyle Lowry for Monday’s game against the Toronto Raptors for personal reasons.
This would have been Lowry’s first game against his former team since being acquired by Miami this past off-season. In 30 games with the Heat this season, the 35-year-old is averaging 13.4 points, 8.3 assists and 4.5 rebounds.
There are still three potential dates for Lowry to play against the Raptors on Jan. 29 in Miami along with Feb. 1 (which would potentially be the first game in Toronto) and Apr. 3.
The Heat also listed Bam Adebayo as questionable on the injury report as he continues to work his way back from thumb surgery that has kept him out six weeks. Adebayo was averaging 18.7 points and 10.2 rebounds this season before having a procedure on Dec. 5 to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right thumb.
