Srinagar, Apr 15 (PTI): Town on Tuesday recorded the most popular April day in almost eight a long time at 30.4 levels Celsius which was 10.2 levels above regular for this time of the season, officers mentioned.

The summer season capital of Jammu and Kashmir recorded the best ever most temperature of 31.1 levels Celsius on April 20, 1946, the officers of the meteorological division mentioned.

There was a big rise in mercury on Tuesday with the climate stations within the Kashmir valley registering 8.1 to 11.2 levels above regular temperature, the officers mentioned.

The meteorological division mentioned the climate within the valley is more likely to keep usually dry until April 17.
