Some persons are feared swept away after an iron bridge over the Indrayani River in Pune district of Maharashtra collapsed on Sunday (June 15, 2025) afternoon, police stated.

Three individuals have been rescued thus far following the incident which occurred close to the Kundamala space in Maval tehsil, police stated.

Nationwide Catastrophe Response Drive (NDRF) groups are conducting rescue operations on the spot, an official stated.

“To this point one particular person is believed to have been swept away whereas three others have been rescued after the iron bridge over the Indrayani river collapsed as per the preliminary info,” the official from Talegaon Dabhade police station stated.
