Holding banners and posters towards the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Samajwadi Occasion’s Dharmendra Yadav, TMC’s Sagarika Ghose, in addition to different opposition MPs, raised slogans and demanded a rollback of the SIR as they staged their protest close to Parliament’s Makar Dwar.

This was the twelfth day of their protest, with solely sooner or later hole in between on Monday when the Opposition skipped their protest in view of the demise of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren.

The opposition has been protesting in each Homes of Parliament towards the SIR, alleging the EC’s train was geared toward “disenfranchising voters” in Bihar forward of the Meeting elections. They’ve been demanding a dialogue on the problem in each Homes.
There was a logjam in Parliament over the SIR in Bihar. Barring discussions on Operation Sindoor in each Homes, Parliament has seen little enterprise ever because the Monsoon session started on July 21 as a consequence of repeated adjournments, largely over the SIR subject.
