In Gurugram, the downpour triggered extreme waterlogging and lengthy site visitors snarls, prompting the District Catastrophe Administration Authority (DDMA) to implement an orange alert. Yamuna River Crosses Hazard Mark
In Delhi, steady rainfall led to gridlocked roads throughout town. The Yamuna river crossed the hazard mark at Loha Pul, forcing the Shahdara district administration to droop site visitors and pedestrian motion on the bridge from 5 pm, September 2.

The alert zone extends past NCR, with the IMD putting Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand below crimson warning for very heavy to extraordinarily heavy rain and flash floods, whereas Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir stay below orange alert.
