“On deportation, since January of this yr, we’ve had round 2,790-plus Indian nationals who didn’t meet the factors. They have been illegally staying there. We verified their credentials, their nationality. And so they have returned,” Jaiswal mentioned. “That is the standing until yesterday, that’s October 29.”
Jaiswal clarified that every case was verified to verify the individual’s Indian nationality earlier than repatriation. “We verified their credentials and nationality earlier than they returned,” he mentioned, stressing that deportations adopted established authorized and diplomatic procedures between India and US authorities.
