Preparations for organising Kanakagiri Utsav 2026 started on Tuesday with district in-charge and Minister for Backward Courses Welfare and Kannada and Tradition Shivaraj S. Tangadagi directing officers to make it a grand occasion.

Chairing a preparatory assembly on the premises of the Sri Kanakachalapati temple in Kanakagiri city, the Minister reviewed preparations and sought options from the general public on tips on how to conduct the annual occasion.
