Nationwide Thermal Energy Company (NTPC) Simhadri launched its Company Social Accountability (CSR) initiative, the Woman Empowerment Mission (GEM)-2026, with an inaugural ceremony at Sakuntalam Corridor. The four-week residential workshop is geared toward constructing management, confidence and general improvement amongst women from underprivileged backgrounds.

Round 130 woman college students, chosen from authorities colleges within the station’s neighborhood, are participating within the programme. The curriculum covers tutorial studying, persona improvement, digital literacy and life abilities, alongside sports activities and humanities.

Ajay Sharma, Regional Government Director (South) and Government Director (Engineering), and Ayaskanta Jena, Head of Challenge, NTPC Simhadri, attended the ceremony.
