HYDERABAD: The BJP on Sunday condemned what it termed “harassment” of ‘go rakshaks’ by police forward of Bakrid, demanding a direct halt to submitting “false and wrongful” FIRs towards them. State BJP president N. Ramchander Rao, in a press assertion, described the Attapur incident on Saturday night time as “deeply unlucky” and alleged that police, appearing underneath MIM stress, have been concentrating on cow safety volunteers as a substitute of sustaining legislation and order impartially.
“Go rakshaks and voluntary employees are being harassed and handled like criminals,” Rao stated, urging authorities to guard Hindu sentiments tied to the cow, which he known as an emblem of religious and cultural significance.
