Vijayawada:Bapatla district collector V. Vinod Kumar introduced a whole ban on plastic utilization at seashores in Chinnaganjam mandal from June 1 as a part of efforts to develop the coastal belt into a significant tourism vacation spot.
Collaborating within the Swachhandra-Swarnandhra programme at Gonasapudi village on Saturday, the collector stated seashores, mangrove forests and backwater areas could be developed on the strains of Suryalanka Seaside and Chirala Seaside.
Vinod Kumar stated the state authorities led by N. Chandrababu Naidu goals to develop practically 900 km of Andhra Pradesh shoreline to spice up tourism and livelihoods.
He stated the plastic ban would additionally help ladies self-help teams manufacturing fabric luggage from previous sarees, with seashores attracting 10,000 to fifteen,000 guests on weekends. Financial institution loans are being prolonged to encourage such enterprises.
The collector later participated in Jaladhara-Jalaharathi actions, planted coconut saplings, launched sanitation and dengue consciousness rallies and distributed financial institution linkage cheques to ladies self-help teams.
