Andhra Pradesh couple hosts 630-dish feast for son-in-law’s first Sankranti

In a unique display of warmth and hospitality, a couple from Andhra Pradesh organised an extravagant feast for their son-in-law, Hemant, and daughter on the occasion of their first Sankranti festival after marriage.

Over the course of a year, Janga Bujji and his wife, Vasavi, from Allavaram Mandal in Konaseema district, carefully planned and prepared a staggering 630 dishes, featuring a mix of traditional snacks, vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, and a variety of refreshing fruit juices. The family aimed to welcome their son-in-law, who works in Germany, in a grand and unforgettable manner.

The celebrations were made even more spectacular by a massive fireworks display that lit up the sky, adding to the festive atmosphere.

A similar gesture took place in Yanam, Puducherry, where Majeti Satyabhaskar and his wife Harinya invited their son-in-law, Saket, for his first Sankranti festival with the family. The couple prepared a special dinner, serving 470 varieties of vegetarian dishes, pastries, sweets, fruits, dry fruits, and soft drinks. The dishes were beautifully arranged in small cups, creating a festive atmosphere. Saket, overwhelmed by the sheer number of dishes, expressed his surprise and delight at the incredible meal his in-laws had arranged.
